Ringling, OK (RNN Texoma) - A 13-year-old from Ringling is in the OU Medical Center after a crash in Jefferson County. It happened just before 12:30 Monday afternoon on State Highway 89, just north of Ringling.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, it happened when a 16-year-old driving a Ford Ranger was driving south on the highway and drove off the road to the right. OHP says the driver then over-corrected and rolled the vehicle three times.
The driver was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital of Ardmore and then released. A 13-year-old passenger who was ejected about 20 feet from the vehicle was taken to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City with internal injuries. Her condition is not known at this time.
