Evacuation ordered for Cotton County residents in wildfire area

COTTON Co., Okla. (KSWO) - An emergency evacuation order for certain residents in Cotton County has been given due to a large wildfire in the area.

Cotton County Emergency Management (CCEM) posted on Facebook that an immediate evacuation order was issued for residents west of County Road 2600 to U.S. 277, south of 1780 north to County Road 1750, due to a large wildfire.

CCEM is telling residents to leave the area immediately and avoid the area until officials announce it is safe.
